Hands On Nashville is hosting a free fermentation workshop and culture exchange by Tara Whitsitt of Fermentation on Wheels and Austin Durant from Fermenters Club.

The duo will show you how to start making fermented foods yourself at home using local and seasonal ingredients – we will make some simple seasonal fermented recipes which are loaded with healthy \”probiotic\” bacteria.
Tara will lead an open discussion on starter cultures as well as how to keep them healthy. Get a head start on giving your [cultured] friends the love they deserve.
SAMPLES: Fermented goodies to taste such as kimchi, sauerkraut and kombucha to taste
DO IT YOURSELF: Stick around to actually make your very own batch of fermented food to take home
SWAP: Bring starter cultures to share and a few extra jars to take home some new cultures. You may also bring home a jar from the workshop – we ask for $1 donation.
