Summertime Honeywine

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is taught by others (not Sandor).

Learn how to make fruited mead in this hands-on, take-home class at Black Wolf Farm in Wantage, New Jersey. Fruited mead is an age-old preservation method and one of the oldest known forms of fermentation. Discover some of the history and culture of this beloved drink and learn how to make your own. Class topics include how to brew honeywine sweet or dry, with lower or higher ABV, and with or without effervescence. You will go home knowing how to modify your next batch of wine to suit your tastes.

Each student will go home with a half-gallon jug of honeywine-to-be along with the fermentation materials to help it along its way. The cost of this class includes all materials, which will be usable for future projects, and ingredients alongside its educational content. The class is limited to 12 students. Questions and conversation are always encouraged!

This is a family-friendly event. If you have a partner and child who would like to make the trip with you, it is a lively farm and there will be other children and partners.

Registration is required for this class. Tickets for Summertime Honeywine are available on Eventbrite. If you would like to purchase tickets by cash or check, please contact Tara at tara@fermentationonwheels.com to reserve.
