Learn how to preserve veggies from your garden or the farmers market with this traditional method of pickling. Put away food without the effort of canning or the energy consumption and risk involved in freezing. And, lacto-fermented foods are even healthier for us, increasing vitamin levels and providing the beneficial microorganisms that improve our digestion and immunity. Sauerkraut and kimchi are two of the most well-known vegetable ferments, but the variations are endless! We’ll make a batch together and you can take home your own jar to try your hand at lacto-fermenting.
