Join MOYFC and Sandor Katz for a hands-on fermentation workshop!

Sandor Katz is a “fermentation revivalist” and author of the fermentation touchstones, “Wild Fermentation” and “The Art of Fermentation.” Mr. Katz has taught workshops around the world, and he strives to share his skill and knowledge of live-culture foods with home-kitchen experimentalists so that the craft of fermentation may continue to be preserved and creatively reinvented far into the future.

At this workshop, Mr. Katz will guide us through:

  • An overview of fermentation: what it is and how it works
  • A demonstration of several fermentation techniques appropriate for the home kitchen
  • The hands-on process of making a vegetable fermentation

Workshop participants will go home with the beginnings of several live cultures, and the know-how to incorporate fermentation into their home repertoires!
