Fermentation Day!

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is taught by others (not Sandor).

Come join special guests Tara Whitsitt of Fermentation on Wheels, 7 Devils Brewery, Jennifer Burns Bright, Bulldog Industries, and Blazing Bulldogs for our 2nd Annual Fermentation Day. This is a day of demos, talks, and everything fermentation! Wild Veggies, Sour dough, Pizza, Beer, and Fermented Fruits are just some of the fun ways you can experience the wonder of fermentation!

Schedule of Events:

1-1:45pm Fermented Beverages!

7 Devils, our local brewery, will be presenting their specialty, bubbly beverages. Allow this presentation to tickle your taste buds with some samples of soda, Kombucha, lemonade, and of course, beer!

2-2:45 Fermenting Fruits!

Jennifer Burns Bright is a food and travel writer based in Port Orford, Oregon. She will demonstrate recipes from around the world for fermenting fruit: ancient Roman cherries, Moroccan preserved lemons, and berry kvass, a Russian summer drink.

3-3:45pm Wild Vegetable Fermentation!

Tara Whitsitt of Fermentation on Wheels will be returning, with her bus, to share her knowledge of wild vegetable fermentation! Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about her Fermentation on Wheels adventure.

When Tara is not presenting, folks are welcome to join her on the fermentation bus, for a starter culture swap in a truly unique, portable laboratory of fermentation wonders!

Bulldog Industries and North Bend High School’s Blazing Bulldogs will be firing it up, with their wood burning oven, and expertise on everything sour dough! From historical sour dough starters, to piping hot samples, this is an experience worth tasting!

Other presenters will be available at their info tables during and in-between workshops. This is a full day of tasting and learning for the whole family!
