About FERMENT

FERMENT aims to create a special small festival ambience, promoting, celebrating and informing visitors about fermented foods, plus other foods that are good, tasty, nutritional, and naturally produced with low environmental impact.

For the curious minded and DIY home producer fermenting can open up a whole new approach whilst bringing benefits to health and well being.

FERMENT will feature a range of activities; fermenting and other workshops, foraging, featured talks, and demonstrations.  Please see the programme below for details of all workshops, talks and demonstrations and the general outline of the day. Plus….

A select group of food stalls with excellent food & drinks available to purchase.

Highly skilled artisans will present food associated handicrafts for sale.

Children will be kept entertained with special activities

A very satisfying good value (£5) hot lunch will be served up by Andy Mason, The Suburban Peasant.

As we ease into the evening we will celebrate the day with more good food, drinks and music.

FERMENT promises a friendly, warm welcome to participate and share experiences. Why not come along, hang out, eat, chat and learn something new.
