Join the Ferment Change! Crew, Fermentor and Author Sandor Katz, and the Phat Beetz Youth Pickle Co. for an evening of fermented foods, workshops, and of course a culture swap. There will also by live music and of course samples of over 20 youth made kraut and pickles.
This is a benefit for the Phat Beetz Youth Pickle n’ Preserved Foods Co., a youth lead company that hires Oakland Youth to learn and share skills in the art of traditional pickle making, jam making, and culinary catering to the houseless community (and community at large)
Please bring a dish to share, and a culture to swap if you have one. There will be plenty of things to take home as well!
$5-$20 donation sliding scale, no one turned away for lack of funds. The event is wheelchair accessible.
