Come and learn about these mysterious little grains. We will explore both dairy and water kefir. You will learn how to make various preparations of kefir (including fermented lemonade), how to care for your grains (not a true grain – no gluten – this is just a how it has been named since it resembles a grain in appearance), recipes and ideas on how to add them to your diet. A reference guide with recipes are included. Cost for the workshop is $55.
Kefir Grains and Pickl-it jars are available for purchase – please specify which type of kefir (water or dairy or both).
Fermented beverages infuse the gut with lactobacilli and lactic acid to sustain their growth, as well as serve up a nice array of enzymes and nourishing minerals. Kefir is a probiotic-rich beverage with live active yeast and bacteria – and it makes delicious beverages and foods!
