Join us for a very special night of fermentation-driven dishes at DAYTRIP, kicked off with an exclusive talk with fermentation expert, James Beard Award Winner, and NY Times bestselling author Sandor Katz!

We’ll gather at 5pm in the back patio to meet Sandor for a discussion on his latest book Fermentation Journeys ( along with a personalized book signing! We’ll also be joined by Elizabeth Vecchiarelli, owner of Preserved, Temescal’s own fermentation shop. We’ll then head into dinner, DAYTRIP-style, with each dish highlighting house ferments inspired by Katz’s work.

The dinner will be 6 courses, served mostly family style, highlighting some of our classics at DAYTRIP, alongside seasonal treats! Beverages will be available to purchase by the glass all evening.

(Note: we’ll have a menu option for vegetarians, but due to the single seating, we won’t be able to make other accommodations for dietary restrictions or allergies. **Be sure to fill out the pre-visit questions 48 hours before the event if you are vegetarian. Thank you!!**)
