What is water kefir?

Does anyone out there know what water kefir is, where it originally comes from, and how to obtain grains?

hi - this is Steve.

You may wish to read this web page.. I have not had any direct experience with "Water Kefir" - although I have used Milk Kefir (ordered through G.E.M. Cultures) in the USA.

I must say, it sounds good.

Anyhow, here's that site.

I have water kefir grains if you would like a start
I love them and use them to culture out the sugar in my carrot and beet juice I also culture green coconut water with them and make a sparkling punch that I drink daily
I am glad to share if you are interested in keeping a growing culture growing
