I've been brewing kombucha for a couple of months now and I've noticed that the brew seems to be getting cloudy. I brew 1 gal. in a 1 1/2 gal., glass jar. When I'm ready to make a new batch, I pour all, but about 2 - 3 cups into a container to store. What I pour in the the clean container is clear, but what remains in the jar is quite cloudy. It this a problem?

Sounds to me like it's just yeast precipitating out. I wouldn't worry about it, but maybe Fubar will weigh in...he seems to be the kombucha expert.

Tim is absolutely right. It's simply yeast precipitating out. If anything, it's evidence of a healthy ferment.
