Join Fermenters Club at Green Flash Cellar 3 for a hands-on workshop to learn how to ferment your own foods and go in-depth on barrel-aging beer.
Presentation: Learn about the history of fermented foods, the reasons why you should be fermenting food at home, and the basic techniques, tips, and tricks for fermenting vegetables.
Tour: Learn about Cellar 3\’s barrel-aging process to include a tour of the facility and 3 tasters showing bacterial/yeast examples.
Workshop: A hands-on activity for participants to make sauerkraut using traditional techniques and tools. Participants will sample fermented veggies and the big reveal: a batch of sauerkraut that was fermented in a red wine barrel!
All participants will take home their own quart-sized mason jar to ferment.
